LEARNINGSPARKS is an education centre that provides Chemistry tuition for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). Our chemistry tutors have years of extensive tutoring experience, as they have taught the IBDP at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) with great success. With their years of unique expertise, students can gain the most out of their innovative pedagogies and learning the subject in the most effective manner.
We also offer specialist guidance in handling research/thinking-based projects and courses for students. These include Internal Assessment and the Extended Essay. Our aim is to provide the best supplementary education for IBDP students in Singapore. We are able to provide consultation / tuition for the following:

- Internal Assessment (IA)
- Chemistry extended essay

OUR Expertise
Teaching Experiences
Mr. Chiam Kok Chong was an ex- teacher from Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) (IB Section) and Catholic Junior College with ten years of teaching experience in Chemistry. He taught IB Chemistry at ACS (Independent) for almost six years and is trained to teach the subject, having attended the IB Chemistry Level 2 and Category 3 training in 2007 and 2010 respectively. He has consistently helped his students achieve excellent grades in Chemistry (IB Higher Level) and extended essays. Mr Chiam is also the current relief teacher of an IB school.
Mr Chiam was the subject (Higher Level) coordinator as well as coordinator for extended essay (EE) and internal assessment (IA) of the Chemistry Department. He was also appointed by the school as the Chief Presiding Examiner (CPE) for the International Baccalaureate (IB) examination in the November 2009 session.
Currently, he conducts IB Chemistry lessons (both online and face-to-face) to help students excel in the subject. During a typical lesson, he will first go through the important concepts of the topics, followed by equipping students with problem-solving skills to handle both past-year examination questions and novel higher-level thinking questions. It is his goal to combine his experiences with his ability to be a dedicated, enthusiastic and intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to students' academic pursuit in Chemistry. He looks forward to helping you maximize your potential in Chemistry.
